Fitness is Social

It's no surprise that social media is on the rise in the fitness industry. So many aspects of what we do revolve around more that just exercise and movement. Studies from industry giants like the International Health, Racquet and Sportsclub Association (IHRSA, for those in the know) have lauded the benefits of social exercise. People who workout in pairs or groups see greater success, are less likely to drop out and have more enjoyable fitness experiences. If you think about it, even the most solitary fitness fiend has trouble visiting the gym without any social interaction, from greetings by the perpetually chipper desk attendant to joining your fellow spandex enthusiasts in a group exercise class, evil-eyeing "that guy" who never reracks his weights to the social conundrum that is changing in a crowded locker room.

So, in our quest to be more social, 1on1 is lauching a blog that will amaze and enlighten you with the latest fitness trends, trainer tips and tricks, shameless self promotion and everything in between (so long as it's health and fitness related). We invite you to join our social circle! Comment on posts. Give us your two cents. Share your fitness knowledge.

Just don't let us catch you "forgetting" to rerack your weights :)

See! We told you fitness is social.
